First off hello everyone. New to the forum and trying to learn how to build and upgrade my pc. I've built one in the past but its been almost 7 yrs since then.

Now to my little problem. I have a Dell XPS 420 which has served me well for the past 2yrs. My brother had just got done upgrading his PC's video card to a GTX460, and decided to throw his old video card(9800GT) into mine. Everything seemed to be going real well up until we installed the driver from Nvidia's web site. Which gave me a blue screen saying that the installation failed. So we decided to throw the old video card back in. Now the computer won't start at all. We tried starting it without the little battery(sorry for my newbness) and the screen prompted video card error. So to say the least I'm pretty much lost. The 9800GT works with our other PC's but not the XPS420. Trying to find out if theres anything that I could do, before we send it to the local FRY's Electronics for repair.

Thanks in advance,
Komplex
