Alright, let's get this build organized.

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!
Newegg.com - G.SKILL PI Black 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory
Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!
Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-450VX 450W ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Power Supplies
Newegg.com - LG Black 22X (CAV) DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 16X DVD+R DL 22X (CAV) DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 22X DVD±R DVD Burner - CD / DVD Burners
Newegg.com - NZXT Apollo Black SECC Steel Chassis ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

The total comes to $607.92 after shipping, and you get 40 bucks back in MIRs. Not to mention you get a NICE machine. The new pII X3 720 is an amazing little processor, and it will run circles around the E5200, 8450, and 7750 mentioned before.

EDIT: You did a really nice job of putting picking out parts for your first build, I meant to mention that earlier. :P

I think this is only a burner, so also need a CD/DVD reader. Any good reader/burner combos I could get in place of this?

No need. It will burn and read CD/DVDs.

I can vouch for the AMD 7750 Kuma matched with 4GB. My brother has it in his PC right now. I messed around with it after I put it together and it does work. His fiance loves photography, so they have photoshop + programs that came with the camera they have and the PC runs them no problem. It's quite the bang for the buck.

I ran a stock PI run, got just shy of 25 seconds...just upped the multi to 18x and grabbed a 800mhz overclock to 3.6ghz. Gonna tweak it a bit from there. I'll be limited by my RAM, though...I just ordered the 4gb kit of PI Blacks DDR2 800, so when I get those, we shall see. I'll update the Super PI thread when I get my maxed out overclock with my current setup.

You HAVE to get this processor. It runs like a friggin' dream.

EDIT: By the way, did I mention that I'm on a stock HSF? My idle temp is around 46C though, so I can't do too much, haha.

EDITEDIT: Just did 19.796 seconds with at 3.6ghz.

Newegg.ca - Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120 mm Core-Contact Freezer CPU Cooler W/TX-2 - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

Dude grab one of these and you will be fine. $50 for one of the best air coolers out there.

For my suicide runs I plan to run Super PI at 4.00ghz or higher lol.

Trust me, the Core Contact is on my list. I just don't have the cash, I just shelled out 45 bucks for the PIs. I have to wait till my next credit card payment for the HSF, lmao.
