This Computer vs That

I think it was actually like just over 600 or around it, but cutting out the e8400 and adding the e5200 you won't loose too much performance and you're covered for shipping charges ;)

It's a lot easier to build computers these days than it used to be, that's for sure. :p The only really lame part is jumps and stuff, but most good cases merge some jumpers together instead of having a separate one for each pin. Like my first build. :[

Besides, we can help you with whatever you need.

Phil's build up there is good, just swap out the processor for the E5200 like Peter said.

All your links are broken there, buddy. D:

To answer your question, the Gigabyte isn't a bad board, but the Biostar is mucho better for overclocking from what I hear.

that board is good but it does not have a secont pci express slot for crossfire. stick with the psu i linked, it is about $70 after mir. and i agree the antec three hundred reigns supreme (in that same price range) in air flow with 2 120mm fans in the front. i have it and it really does have good air flow. the only thing was i flipped the top 14mm fan to intake instead of exaust cause my cpu cooler is right there so it gets alot of fresh air.

He doesn't need that much power and crossfire is so so with a budget like that I reckon he doesn't play at very high res so your looking at 30-40% increase in games.

If you had reccomended sli it would of been bit better as sli normally beats crossfire in most benches and games as you probably know as your a good techie (not sarcastic). I think in this case dual gpu is a bad thing unless he is going to put me in my place and tell me he has a 1680x1200 resolution?
