You want the "best" parts? A quad sli is 1400 I heard. That's just by it self.

That's the "best" part pertaining to graphic cards. Lol.

I would recommend going with the following

CPU - Intel Dual Core 2 Extreme
GPU - 2 nvidia Geforce 7900 PCI-E running in SLI
RAM - 1gig Corsair DDR2
M/B - Acer or DIY with nvidia chipset
HD - 200gig Seagate SATA drive

Ok you need DDR2 ram like toniaxp said but to use the Cpu to the full potential you need DDR2 800 (Pc6200)
