Question Between Intel and AMD

Hi I have a choice to make and may be someone can shed some light on it. I've seen these 2 PC for around 300 and was wondering which one will perform better, I only want to connect to internet and office. What do u think?


AMD SEMPRON 2600
placa asrock K8 Upgray UM800 SATA RAID
CPU SEMPRON AMD 2600
VGA Integrated
256 MB
HDD 80GB SATA

---------------------------------

INTEL CELERON 2.6
Placa Asrock P4V8M
CPU Intel Celeron 2.6 Inbox
256 MB
VGA Integrated
HDD 80 Gb 7200 RPM

Knowing that the Celeron is crippled, and being the AMD fanboy I am, I'd say number one. I'd also suggest 512MB of RAM if possible.

I would go with at least 512 RAM. And dont knock the celeron. The celeron is the old P4 just called celeron now. It has 256k l2 cache and a 533 fsb. Its a nice budget chip. I dont have expierence with a sempron so I cant tell you which one.

Sempron is faster, I would also heavily recommend getting 512mb of ram. It's inexpensive and will give you a very noticeable performance boost, even for the simple things you're doing. 256 is simply not enough for Windows XP.
