See if there is a BIOS Update for your mobo and drive update for the wireless card. I've seen this issue with IBM T30 laptops, this could possibly be your issue but then again it might not be.

how would i check to do a mobo update...i have no clue...though if its difficult to explain i can just google it...

in other news ive updated wifi software and card, and still no success...

again, the symptoms began literally the second i turned my pc on and connected to a diff network. it worked fine on one network at 2pm and then went to 100% pc usage at another place at 10pm....was off in between...all i did was turn the pc on...

fixed it i guess....i physically removed the card and reinstalled everything....i guess order was significant....thanks for your help.

possibly a driver issue which is what I was getting at... but its fixed
