What to do with a rooted Droid?

Not mine, unfortunately. I helped a cousin root his and he was wondering what he can/should do with it now. He is already overclocking it as well as tethering.

I would look into running a custom rom if he want's to keep going. CyanogenMod in particular is very well liked and is supposed to be much better than anything you would get from the OEM's. There are likely many other good roms that are specific to the Droid too.

I'll pass that along to him. I guess the main thing is that it bypasses any restrictions the telcom put on the phone.
