trying to use cell as modem

hello all..ok here's my problem..i have a vx9800 cell and a bluetooth motorola pcmcia card..ok they are paired the laptop can see the the cell and visaversa...i'm trying to get on aol..and use the cell as the modem it dials out fine but nothing happens ..i'm sure it's me not setting the dial-up properties correct i'm not even sure where to begin, any help with this or a point in the right direction would be appreciated..thanks in advance..laptop(dell inspiron1100)OS(xp media edition)cellphone (verizon vx9800)

I had this problem with Nextel and they told me it was b/c I didn't have the modem capabilities included with my plan. It would get all the way to the point of "authentication" with nextel and they wouldn't respond. That's what the lady on the phone told me. Who knows if she was full of it or not.
