App wont delete? (Ipad)

Hey, Im new to the forum as well so forgive me if i missed something in the rules.

I tried installing an app on my ipad that would allow me to play browser flash games, right? Well, the app never installed properly and now its stuck and wont delete. Any advice on what i can do? It is just a grey box with a web-looking design on it, and every time i try to delete it it just doesnt work.

Have you tried resetting the iPad by holding down the home and power buttons for 10 seconds?

yeah a hard reset should do the trick

To elaborate on what these fine gentlemen aforementioned.

Holding your power button and the home button for 10 seconds should fix the cached download but be aware that it is not reset - its more like a forced restart (like holding the power button down on a PC or laptop)

You will not lose any data like a hard reset or factory wipe.

Reset / restart / reboot ... its all the same..

Not necessarily .

Reset can (and usually does) refer to going back to initial settings, not just forcing a reboot/restart.

I love how "Have you tried turning it on and off again" solves 90% of these issues.
