Notice that they said it may be capable of 500mb/s. That means the ones they have now aren't. I bet they are much slower.

Yeah they gave no indication as to how long it will be until we will see this technology, like most people do. So I'm assuming that its going to be around 3-5 years before this will go in production. By that time SSD's will have taken over the market and will be much much faster then they are now.

So there's no use comparing this technology to the current stuff.
