yeah, i have a few boxes worth of parts to fiddle around with. Also, i try to keep a spare computer working with win 98, just in case my good computer has a hardware failure.
 
I make sure that i have a spare 350 Watt PSU kicking around the house. They are the most volitile PC componant.

Thankfully I have never needed to use it. (But then again, I am sitting behind a UPS)
 
yeah, this week ive gotta dig out my old 400watt ATX psu to test a friends mobo. His computer just wasnt turning on, which narrows it down to either the mobo or psu which i can test with a working psu that i have

In Australia, at a electronics chain called **** Smith Electonics you can get all sorts of stuff in cans, including compressec air, and about 2 hundered forms of lubircant oil. You should look in electronics stores that sell hobby electronics equipment. They shoucl have compressed air.
 
Yeah Maplins sells that sort of thing overhere, but im nowhere near a shop and im not paying £ 5 for delivery on a 99p item.
