Looks like the top has a layer of Marble on it. BTW its very cheap to buy speaker cable these days. Dosent have to be the highest quality in the world.

Its made out of Formica, it just looks like marble. It wasn't my choice, the furnishings came with my apartment. My school just has good taste I guess
