My dad found this on the streets, and when I turned it on, it showed the Creative logo and then, the Zen Micro logo. After that nothing happens. Is it broken, or is it repairable?

It may just be a software issue. My Zen Nano was doing pretty much the exact same thing. Have you tried hooking it up to a computer yet? I would suggest updating the firmware as that's what fixed it for me...it didn't like *.wma files, but all is well now. Couldn't be happier with my Nano. :p
