Potentially the longest thread in history...

I'm so ****ing glad Division 2 was gifted to me. Same damn engine, basically the same damn game, but SLI support outside of RTX was nerfed because Nvidia want to be some ****ing cucks. I'm ****ing over it.

I kinda like the game. Spent about 20 hours in it so far. The gameplay is quite a bit better than Division 1, but yes it's pretty similar - they just made most of the game mechanics feel better. Much more end game content though.

I am quite happy with the game engine, it's one of the better looking games IMO.

I stopped once I got to about level 15 though, the story missions are basically all the same. Go infiltrate the building, recover this thing, oh whoops you set an alarm off, now fight the bad guys on your way out. Also got bored with the very limited number of events such as turning off the broadcasts and stopping public execution. Get's very boring when you've done them 20+ times.

The gameplay is literally the same thing, except attachments are ****ed up. Idk how you feel they made the mechanics better as it's all still the same. Take cover here, oh you want out of cover? Oh no we're gonna make your character move to the next obstacle. Yup you're now dead. And who thought it would be a good idea to make the vault default key control? Sheesh. Grenade throwing should be one button, not select and toss. It's wasted time when facing enemies that can one shot you. In fact a mechanic they could have made better is hit button to toss grenade normally, hold and release for aim mode. Just toss the selection completely.

I was playing with dudes level 30+ and doing tier 2 and 3. They all say the same thing.

I think the guns feel better. But yeah attachments are ****ed up. I got a reflex scope with -15% accuracy over iron sights. ???????????????.

Also agree on grenades. They're a ****ing PITA to use quickly. I think overall the cover system is decent, but it still feels a bit 'heavy' and the fact you can't crouch outside of cover is just wtf.

To be fair to them I have not played a game with an actually good cover system.
Thanks for reminding me about no crouch, I would have bitched about that too lol.

On the plus side it's one of about 3 games that has almost flawless HDR support. So props to them on that. There are too many damn HDR games I play where night time or dark areas in general becomes way too bright in HDR mode.

Yea I'll give them that. I didn't get to see HDR until I got home and played on my HDR monitor.

Anyone else follow OSINT news - primarily on Twitter ?

I am pretty addicted to it. I probably refresh the feeds of the best OSINT twitter profiles 50+ times a day.

It's crazy how much detail you get compared to mainstream media, and how much stuff goes on that never even hits CNN, BBC etc.

If anyone is interested in defence related OSINT (middle east is my primary interest), as well as good defence analysts to follow, here is a quick list.
