one thing with many other counties that have high taxes and free social sevices is the fact that they strive for comunisim. The poor get everything free and the rich get extra taxes so that no matter how hard you work, you will never get ahead. That also leads to high prices and high unemployment as seen in many Eouropean countries. I have a freind who is from Germany, and he says he will never go back. His brother lives there, and is a electrical engineer. He doesn't make much due to outrageous taxes.
