It isn't possible to do so with out breaking pins.... Even then, would need to be the processor made for that socket... And there is nothing explosive in a processor or under it powerfull enough to cause that....

There's nothing explosive in a capacitor either but try applying power the wrong way across it...

Yes it POPS, doesn't explode, it pops from the heat causing gases to build up, still nothing for an explosion of sorts to propel a cpu with enough force that it breaks a ceiling tile... Not enough mass either... Would have to be moving at some incredibly high speeds....

Mate, I saw it with my own two eyes. And I'm pretty sure I wasn't on any drugs or had a mental defect...we had to replace the ceiling tile, never found the CPU.

The voltage could have propelled it, but there is not way for the chip to explode. I know of idiots sticking screw drivers into wall sockets and the screw driver taking a trip across the room.
