Please Help

My friend bought a new computer from dell with windows XP and it also has broadband. On saturday I downloaded shareaza and limewire so he could download music only after I installed them everytime he clicks on any shortcut on his desktop or anything in the programs list he gets the error prompt FILE NOT FOUND and another error prompt which says you do not have administration permissions (or something to that effect).

You are installing some of the worst programs you could put on a PC. Do you know what you are doing? This PC is going to end up spyware infested and full of pop-ups.

To each his own....resolution:

Create an account or log in an account with administrative pivileges.

when I click on user accounts in the control panel to add an account with admin privilages the user account link comes back with the file not found prompt?

Sounds like either A. You dont know what your doing or B. You have some software issues in which case I would reload the operating system to rule that out.

Just re-install the os.
and dont download bullcrap unless you know what your doing.
