Infected w/ Virus

Okay so I've read Warez guide and tried to do all the stuff he said. However, when I tried to run msconfig, i was able to disable all the unnecessary stuff but when I click Ok, the program freezes and it says "not responding" in my taskbar. Same thing happens when I use Ad-Aware to scan. It says that I have 7 critical objects and then when it's done, it just freezes.

My start menu and taskbar are also missing (the entire bar) so I can't access them. When I try to use Add and Remove programs, if I try to remove a program , it just freezes.

This all happened yesterday. I tried to dl Roxio's Easy Media creator and I installed it and restarted. Then everything started to become messed up. I deleted the file but now i can't uninstall it. Everytime I start up my comp, in the processes column of the task manager, there are always these two programs always running. I know these came up AFTER I installed Roxio because i don't recognize them and they're related to Roxio.

Another problem I'm having is I can't go online yet my brother's computer (the one I'm on now) can go online (and mine is like the main computer).

aside from reinstalling avast, how am I supposed to "fix" the Roxio files?

yup, thats rite. make sure you so the same with avast! Removing things through Hijackthis is only removing a portion of the application.
