AVG error help

I am trying to reinstall AVG on my computer and I get this error message. Can anyone help or do I need to contact AVG.

Local machine: installation failed
Installation:
Error: Action failed for registry value HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\AvgDiagFile\DefaultIcon:: creating registry value....
Error 0x80070005

Have you uninstalled the previous AVG yet? If not, you will likely need to do so to be able to install it again.

If you have uninstalled it, you may want to use a registry cleaner - CCleaner has one as part of it's toolset.

yes I have uninstalled it first. I will run ccleaner to see if that helps.

ran ccleaner and tried to install and get same error message.

try this:

Start/run/ type in ''regedit'' without the quotes then go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER then go to ''software''.
Scroll down to ''Avg'' and delete that folder by right-clicking it.

Then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ,go to ''software'' and delete ''Avg'' again .

Then go to HKEY_USERS ,software ,Avg and delete again .

Restart and try to reeinstall
If this doesnt work ,sorry for all this

Did all that and still get the same error.
