i have a number of logins for gmail, the primary one is one i dont want the password remembered while the ones for newsgroups can be autofilled.

if i choose 'never remember password for this site' it just wont ask me again if i want to save the password - which i guess makes sense. but is there some way i can tell firefox i dont want a certain account to be saved while it should still ask for other logins?

You will have to choose the option of Not Now. I think that is available in Firefox. From what I see you have to use the drop down box to select that option.

Its always a security issue, so better not to save passwords in browsers. if mistakenly saved, then it can be deleted, e.g. in firefox go tools->Options->Security. There "Saved Passowrds..." button is there, just press it and remove by selecting. In chrome and other browsers the same delete option is there. The cookie files can be easily stolen if your internet security software is weak.
