I dunno if this should go under spyware or what but i am having a problem with internet explorer... I have AOL... which sucks i kno but i don't really have a choice but either way whenever i am online internet explorer randomly pops up all the time now with blank pages. i dunno if this is a virus or sumthin but it didn't used to happen since before 2 weeks ago... any ideas?

I'd say run your antivirus, some sort of spyware or adware scanner, and while you are at it, go get your self a copy of Firefox or Opera. They're a lot less prone to stuff like that.

i ran spybot, norton antivirus and adware se... all came up with nothing... anymore ideas/

Along with these pop up periodically i notive that there are new little programs loaded onto my computer... some of these being: liek dating games and card games... also i just rememberd that when i open my recycle bin i can't see anyhting i put it in... i kno there is stuff in there not to mention it shows that there is on the icon (it is "filled") so i dunno whats up with that but if anyone has any suggestiong with these pelase tell me

First, create a folder for HijackThis in the root folder of your hard drive so it can make proper backups

Click here to download Hijack This. Save it to the folder you have just created

Close all open windows and open HIJACK THIS. Click “Scan” . When the scan is finished (it only takes a second), the scan button will change to“Save Log”. Click on“Save Log” and save it to NotePad. Copy the entire log and paste it here.

DO NOT FIX ANYTHING YET , most items that appear in the log are harmless or even needed. Wait for someone to analyze the scan and advise.

If you have anything disabled by MSConfig or any other startup manager, please re-enable it before scanning to post


we can see a little better whats going on with your computer
