Opera 8 Problem

i just got a new mouse MX1000 and i have a problem with it in opera 8. the back and forward buttons on the side dont work, when i try to use them it gets this

But it works fine in interent explorer and well as firefox!

any ideas ???

Use the software that came with it and reset to the original settings? If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the software for the mouse and then reinstalling it. Even further, if that's not working, try uninstalling the software, and just using Windows mouse drivers.

The buttons work fine with everything, just not opera. tried what you said same problem

afaik it's a driver problem. I will search the Opera forums cause it has been discussed before.

I think they are talking about the side scroll, wich works fine
the buttons im talking about are these ones

Scroll down, they also discuss those buttons. Maybe it helps. You could try searching those forums some more, cause this is a common problem. I am sure there's a solution. You could also use mouse gestures, much better than buttons.
