ip addys

have a querie,i have a friend or so i think,that sends me mail thru hotmail,thats all fine and dandy.but previously her ip addy would show up in header,all normal,i knew where it was coming from because i set up her acct with isp. ip would always read 159.188.354 etc.
now recently her ip addy has changed to ...msn redmond washington.i would include the ip of msn,but im not sure if im supposed to.
anyways i asked her about it and she said she hasnt changed isp at all still with the same one i set her up with.
now iim familiar with proxys and i dont think you can use msn's addy as a proxie.
thats where im puzzled? is the mail being forwarded or is it directly from msn itself?
would like some help if possible?

the address your reading is prolly the ip of the mail servers. for example

this is saying i recieved the email from idpnet (my email server). the email was received by idpnet from promo.globalcomputer.com (sender's email server).

ive attached the header as i have it and deleted most of her addy,but im confused,normally her mail comes from sprint with ip addy of 159.248.123.etc. now it comes from the above addy,in other words is she hiding her ip addy for some reason,her perogative,np. thanks for the reply

Anyway *eheim* I want to know why you care so much that the IP address has changed? If you can still send email back and forth, who cares? What, you want to hack into yer email box 'er something? Because her Hotmail mailserver IP changed yer getting suspicious?

Actually, maybe more people have signed up for Hotmail, requiring Microsoft to have another SMTP running on a different IP? (another server?)

thank you all,for the replies, as for hacking into her mailbox,thats a little absurd,its a question she has queried as well as to how it is happeniing so she is fully aware of the situation.
