firefox not working properly

noo. when i click a link inside firefox, it'll open the website, etc. but if i click on a link in other programs that SHOULD bring up a firefox browser, it doesn't.

is it set as the default browser?

tools - options - check now

does ie pop up instead?

can you give me a example of a program that will not open firefox?

it's set to default browser. Programs like CCleaner and Trillian will not open up links. However, they work on my laptop...

i've heard of some extensions blocking links. did you remember installing any extensions when this started happening?

you could also try making a fresh new firefox profile and setting it to default and see if a setting got messed up somewhere.

at run command
"firefox.exe -profilemanager"

make a new profile and set to default, then open firefox and give it a shot.

alright, thanks...i think i'll try with zonealarm first. it's been blocking a lot of things since day one.

cool, it's fixed now! thanks for all the suggestions man! i appreciate them. apparently, IE screwed up a setting, so i made IE the default browser, turned it off, and defaulted it to firefox.
