FireFox Jet Lag Issue

Maybe this is nothing. But I am working with an Acer Aspire 5253 3gb ram and AMD C-50 processor 1 GHZ

whenever I scroll Firefox freezes and this is a major PITA(Pain in the A**)! I have downloaded chrome and it works fine. Sadly I need Firefox b/c my school site does not work with Chrome. Is this a common issue or is it lack of hardware? processor was a beast if we are talking windows 3.1.....

The issue did not start until after I updated to firefox 8 and no change with update 9

I could keep both on the system but it only adds to the PIMA (Pain in My A**)

Thanks for the heads up on that! It helps it along I think the rest is just a slow processor
