I have recently noticed this problem when I am downloading something via firefox.

Let us say I click on a link that is to download wordfile.doc.
EDIT: it is not just doc files, it is any file type.

The download window pops up and asks if I want to open this file or save to disk. However, the OK button is greyed out (inactive). It doesnt matter if save to disk or open is selected. I have to wait a while (sometimes 20-30 seconds) before it becomes active.

Anyone experience this or know what might be going on? I have googled various phrases, but unable to return any results.

I don't think that it allows you to Click OK until it gets a connection to the download server (I could be wrong, of course).

Very possible....Have you ever experienced this problem?

A couple of times. It's mainly just annoying.
