Can't Connect...

My school has a firewall up, and because of this, I can't connect to some sites, or use certain programs that connect to other places. How can I bypass this?
Proxies won't work because I have clients for certain games installed.

My suggestion to you is to follow your school's rules. If you got caught "bypassing" anything, you'd likely get in some serious trouble. Not to mention the legalities of things.

Also, discussion of bypassing network security here is breaking our rules.

This is a situation where you really need to consider how worthwhile this is. I used to get around the blocking programs set on my high school's computers all the time. A friend of mine got caught doing that, though, and the school district almost took legal action against him. In the end, he got suspended, but even that isn't really worth it just to be able to post on a forum or play some Flash games on the Internet while you're at school.
