Hi all,

I have been searching the net for a while trying to find a strait answer to my problem but can't really find one.

I have a server at home running window server 2008 with a private static IP and possibly a public static but not sure about that. I have the Port forwarding set up on my router so that if i type in 192.168.X.X from inside my home i get the website. If i type in the public IP 108.xy.xyz.xy then i also get the site. this is from anywhere, have tested from outside my network and it works fine for the past week+.

So that is what i have. however i can't point my domain to my Public IP. I want to set up DNS on the server but can't figure it out, and when i go to type my IP into the Domain Control Panel (NOT DNS) it gives me an error regarding "Not correct Name Server format" (This is with Arvixe, my previous host)

Does anyone know how to do this WITHOUT dyndns or equivalent service?
