Hard Drive

Hi,

I am trying to connect old hard drive to new pc but it doesn't detect the hard drive through setup. How can I get it working?

Does anyone know how to do this?

jumper settings on the back of the hd need to be set to slave

If there is an hd in the new pc then it should already be set to master, so the old one you are putting in needs to be set to slave

It doesn't have any hard drive at the moment. I just want to put this old hard drive on this new pc. So this hard drive its gonna be the master one.

I will try with changing the jumper settings.

yep, master it is then, good luck...

not all hd's are the same though, look on it for a label showing what master/slave/and so on should look like...
