I used to use a program called Sokkit, to run mysql and all that nonsense from your computer, so you could setup websites on your pc and run from there with databases, etc..
Basically I used it to create my databases and set everything up so I could launch the site 100% complete. Sokkit is no longer supported is there any other software like this but perhaps better and more options? Thanks!
