How do I network my Powerbook with our PC?

I'm on a wireless network at my house, and I want to network my computers so I can transfer some files from my PC onto my PB, but I haven't the faintest how to network the PB..

Do you have the AppleTalk protocol installed on your PCs?

I don't believe I do. And it's just one PC, plus the Power Book.

You will definatly need to install AppleTalk on the PC before networking these two

Most newer Macs use TCP/IP so you should be able to share a directory on the mac and just copy the needed files. (I think Apple is steering away from the whole proprietary appletalk way.. not good for business)

The connect the two via a ethernet cable (an older pc or mac may require a crossover cable in this instance) and create a VPN, or Virtual Private Network. Appletalk is old school and is worthless between a PC and Mac.
