Wireless Problem?

Hello, just got a new router.. Netgear 54mbps WGR614v9. All the wireless settings are turned on in the routers settings and my laptop can connect to the wireless router but cannot load any webpages up at all. :freak: My Laptop is on Windows Vista Home Premium also

It used to run on the rubbish Belkin 54g Router..

It might be a DNS problem.

Have you tried pinging some global ip adresses?

You may try this one.

74.125.127.100.
(It's nhl.com by the way)

See if you get any replies from that IP. In case you do, try to setup a manual DNS on your router (or your pc)

I Shouldnt need to configure my DNS its automatically done by my ISP

I Just tryed my sisters Sony Ericsson W995 which has WiFi and it connects and works great!, must be the laptops wireless hmmm

Double check you've got the right type of wpa set on your laptop.
