Wireless Network Problems

I tried the zero configuration restart and it didn't work and I have also tried to re-install the drivers.
Yes I purchased it from a reputable company.
Would a wireless USB adapter work?

Because other devices can connect to your home network, the problem is at least confined to the one laptop.
So far you have... Reinstalled the drivers, and done a configuration reset.

When you're next around any hot spot in your area with your laptop, try connecting to that.

btw, what are all the wireless devices on your network connecting through? router? if so, what model?

yes they connect through a router, it's a DLink - DI-524UP

At this point I have no other ideas as to why it's not working except that the wireless on your laptop is busted.

Try and buy/loan/borrow/steal a wireless PCMCIA from a mate and plug that in, then try connecting to your network.

I got a wireless USB adapter and I am able to connect perfectly
