Since the network cabling is not complete to my appartment, i am stuck using wireless to get onto the internet. I have installed a Dlink DWA-140 USB 802.11n(draft) adaptor to my QuadBox (see sig for specs.)
I have no problem in detecting the wireless router. It's at 92% strength. However i can not acquire a IP address. Windows MCE will endlessly try to acquire an IP address, but do nothing about connecting.

My Laptop on the other hand as no problems with accessing the internet from my appartment.

The router I am connecting to is a DSL-G604T Generation II Router. It's acting as the DHCP and I have changed the IP Address so that all the PCs start with the 192.168.1.x ip address. By default, the ip address should be 10.1.1.x. Reason why I have changed this is because we have a fussy network printer.

Any suggestions on how i can fix this?

Problem solved. Looks like the DWA-140 USB 802.11n(draft) adaptor is faulty. I have just installed an older DWL-G122 802.11G adaptor in, and it works fine.

Off to the RMA-land with the DWA-140 then.
