EDIT: Would the router have to be a certain distance from the computer to work? I.E. if it was directly next to the computer, would it work fine?

It should be fine up to 50-100 feet indoor. Depending on your environment, I can't say 100% that everything will run smoothly.

I will be the only person using this wireless router. Should I have enough bandwidth to do whatever I want with? Also, is there a way to stop other users from using the router I have?

I'll be using the router in the same room as the computer, should it not run smoothly then?

You should be fine as long as you setup some security on the wireless router. Here's a link on some tips for securing a wireless LAN

If I were to secure the router so it would only provide service for mine computer, and I had 100% of the 108Mbps, isn't the bandwidth problem then solved, and in my case Wireless > Wired?

Wireless connections are unpredictable; there will be time when you will experience some problems, but most of the time it's smooth sailing.

A wired connection is more reliable.
