Using two routers?

My old router working at "g" level is just not producing a good enough wifi signal around the house so I want to get a new "N" router but the problem is setup, I can't lose fast Internet for more than a day so can I keep my old router plugged in while I configure my new router upstairs where I need the signal most for my wireless devices. Can you have two routers running simultaneously without their frequencies clashing?

I recommend you setup a network hub for 2 routers and other home devices in your house.
I personally recommend you put your home phone on a different channel to avoid problems when it rings or anything else it may do.
