A friend of mine is using wireless with WEP security and sometimes it stays steady for days at a time and others it will connect and disconnect randomly every 15 seconds. On occasion there is a linkys SSID that appears in avaliable WAP's and that one isnt secured. I have removed it from the list of prefered networks many times but it always pops back in there. I have disabled 'Automaticaly connect to non prefered networks' but it pops itself back in there. It isnt very often that I see that SSID pop up and I cant be sure if it is only seen at the same times at the problem. Is there a way to tell the pc 'Only connect to this network even when it isn't available?'
