router guidance.. please

I am moving into a new apartment and I am buying a new router.
I am kind of clueless when it comes to routers. I will be connecting a Desktop and a laptop to it and I will also be streaming videos and playing games online.
is there any specific type of router I need to look at?

i saw someone recommended this one, what do you guys think?

You have now posted the exact question of 4 others in the last 2 weeks.... I've had bad deals with d-link, but good with linksys...
ask someone else you'll get the opposite answer..
