I have a rather strange problem. I am connected to my router Via wireless, and every time i connect, i get a randomly new inernal address....anywhere from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.9. It plays **** with my port forwarding. I have 2 wireless adapters and if i disable one, I get a weak signal. And no I cannot change the location of my router or comp. I am in a guest house and both are as close as they can get to each other.
Netgear router, linksys card and belkin card....all running in G mode. Win Vista ultimate

i am a noob@life.universe

you should be able to set a dhcp reservation that will assign the same ip to a particular mac address.

you run ipconfig /all in a command line window to retreive the MAC address.

goto your router config, look for dhcp settings, and look to set the reservation.
