Ping Problem

Seems I'm having a slight problem pinging computers on my network. I can ping using their IP Address, but not by their Netbios Name (\\Computername). Two computers are using XP Pro and the other is using Win98SE. I can also access the computer via internet explorer by typing the name in the address bar...Very wierd. I am also able to share files and folders across the network.

-The computers are connected to a wireless router (Acting as an Access Point, DHCP Disabled)

-The Wireless Router is connected to my DSL Modem\Router (Acting as the DHCP Server)

Any help would be appreciated

Anyways, I figured out the problem, it seems that my host file was not in order, after updating it with the proper names, everything seems to be working. I can also use Net Send now!!! I love it...I think I will give my mother quite the scare tonight. I also had to reinstall my NIC card and enable TCP\IP Over NetBios.
