no internet connection

i just installed a linksys wr54gs router for one of my parents friends at their house yesterday and they have a wireless linksys reciever in one of the rooms and that one isnt getting any internet connection at all its showing its connected to the internet but no pages are being loaded it comes up page can not be displayed what should i do to get this up and running

What is this wireless reciever? model of it?

Are there any computer connected to the WR54GS router and are they working just fine?

its a linksys reciever not positve of the model of it

Is it connected to a computer via USB port? Is it one of those extender that plug into a power jack on the wall?

usb cable the linksys reciever is connected with i aint sure what ur talking about with the extender thing a ma bobber

first thing you should do when there is a problem about the internet connection is call up the internet company and ask them about the problem and they might be able to do something about it
