Network stuff

Hi all.
I am having trouble at my office getting the icons on the Local Network to work. They worked last week, but now most of them have an error message that says I need to contact the administrator because of permissionproblems, and that the path is not found.
Trouble is, I am the administrator, and Im confused.

How can I get these to work and also to set up new ones, like "Shared Docs" etc?

what icons? are you talking about the connections or something else? check to see that you are an admin on the machine. try to install a local printer, that should tell you for sure...

Yes, the network connections, actually the shared folders, etc. They come up as invalid path. They worked last week.

instead of mapping to the network drive via its name try by using its IP address

Do you have the same user/pass on both pcs? What OS?

Wait, if your comp is saying the path is not found. Then check the path. Open My Network places|Entire Network|MS or Novell Network|Workgroup_Name|Computer_Name. Right-click the share and create a shortcut.
