ok, so im new here, and i really need help. A while ago i got high speed adsl internet, and got a free computer with it, its not a bad computer, but it came with Vista. Needless to say, i didnt like it, so i borrowed an XP disk from my brother in law, and installed, it, it works great. unfortunatley, all the devices were detected and operate fine, except my network adapter, in the device manager, its all question marks. i cant access the internet on it to find the right updates. and i cant download the drivers manually on another computer, because i dont know what driver to get... anyone have answers?

ps. i think the network adapter is fully tied into the mother board (ACPI uniprocessor PC) and processor(AMD Sempron 3600+)

Need a make and model of the PC to be of any help.

Can you see any make/model information on the DirectX Diag screen?

Start > Run > type "dxdiag" (no quotes) > Enter

And the same thing shows up in System Info? Or have you checked there?
Start > Programs > Acc > System Tools

Certainly. Their website makes it REALLY difficult to choose the wrong model number, goes through like 4 sub-categories... it's extremely well put together.
