Netgear Static IP

I recently purchased a new laptop and I originally only used one other computer for my wireless router so I had a friend set it so only the one IP can enter the network. I now need to find out what that IP is to add it to my new laptop, I unfortunatly have gotten rid of the old computer connected to the wireless network. I still have two other computers(not wireless) connected to the network. How do I find this IP and do I just go to properties IP and change it there?

If you got rid of your original computer then you will have to get into the router and see exactly what he did. You should be able to tell what the ip was by the filter or rule he set. Once you find that IP all you have to do is go to properties and set the same one along with the Gateway and DNS ( both should be the IP of the router)
