net command question

I tried doing a net start messenger and got this "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it."

try to enable the service by go to :
computer management - services

than start the service,I have try to start the service by net start command but it not work,
you have to start it manualy

Ok sweet i got it to work. The messenger service was disabled and did what you said pitto and it worked thanks About that password thing, going to run, then typing \\raven\C$. I logon pops up and i put in his windows logon password but no worky. Whats up?

If they have XP they need to be sharing the root of the C:

Try to turning off simple file sharing

1. Double-click My Computer on the desktop.
2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
3. Click the View tab, and then select the Use Simple File Sharing (Recommended) check box to turn on Simple File Sharing. (Clear this check box to turn off this feature.)
