Well currently I have two computers connected with a Crossover cable and one PC has to host the internet for the other to use it.

Now I was thinking ....

I should get a ADSL / Broadband Modem Router (I am on ADSL)
I'll need 2 PCI adapters

I'll need things like Bit Torrent and Online gaming to work ... also I will be streaming media over LAN (Divx)

I have a choice for the Router, Wireless G sounds good.

Ebuyer: http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=74902

USR: http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=59165

Maybe if you want you can pick one out for me .... I'd like laptops to be able to connect and wired PC's.

Once I have that, I also have microfilters, so i'm okay there.

I'll need one of these for each PC, think it's okay?

And that is all I need?

USR Is the best with its di-polar antennas which offer maximum range and rock-solid near uniform performance if money isn't an issue with you..
Microfilters; doesnt really matter as long as you have one.
BTW; you'd also want to have Wireless PCI cards for the desktop if you want them to connect wirelessly...

streaming media over LAN (Divx)
Sure you wanna do that over WLAN??? It'll have latency issues, which will be fewer for you if you bought USR but you'll still have some.

Remember.. wireless is for mobility, not speed.... not yet.

First off, go wireless, its a whole lot easier to network with.

Secondly, make sure you encrypt your network with WEP or some other encryption form and be sure and change your router name and password from the default to increase security.

Thirdly, I like using the microsoft workgroup feature. Right click on the my computer icon and hit properties, then where it says "To rename this computer or join a workgroup..." and click thre Change button and assign a workgroup name. You can then go to My Network Places and click View Workgroup Computers and all of the computers you have networked (assuming you have the same workgroup assigned on all of the computers) will show up and you can browse their shared files and printers (you can also map each computers shared directory as a drive letter).

I advise DO NOT USE NETGEAR, they have terrible tech support. Linksys i feel is a much better choice because their Tech Support offers Email, Live Chat, Or on the phone. Netgear will send you through their 800 number and you will not be able to understand your techsupport because it has been outsourced.

EXAMPLE OF BAD OUTSOURCING:
"Can I buy this item at Radio Shack?"
"You need a new antenna?"
"No I would like to know if I can buy this item at Radio Shack"
"Whats a Radio Shack"
and thats where I hung up...

FINAL WORD:
Plan out your network, place the wireless router in the middle of your house so all regions are covered, and be sure and keep all reciepts and DO NOT file for the rebates until your network works completely!
