my internet pisses me offffff

Ok, well iv had a new dsl for a while, got upgraded from 1.5 mb to a 3 mb at SBC yahoo DSL. It fine when it works... I have a linksys router. The internet acts wierd sometimes. It gets disconnected... I dunno y. Iv tried many things. Any ideas? is it just a bad provider? id like to stick with dsl, and not switch to RR cable if possible . I wish cox has service around here tho

Well, i dunno. Have you called SBC? Also, try resetting your router or your modem. Why dont you want to go with cable? I would prefer cable to DSL any day, mostly because I've heard about more packet loss and speed problems with DSL than I have heard about with cable. DSL is cheaper though, and when I move to town, I will probably make sure I live close enough to my telco to get DSL.
