Mozilla Firefox connects but Internet Explorer doesn't...

Mozilla Firefox will connect to the internet (broadband). I open the window and it goes to the homepage connected. When I open Explorer it comes up with a window saying "The Web page you requested is not available offline. To view this page, click connect." I click connect opens the window of Explorer then it fails dailing and comes up with that window where you have to dail to dail-up but it says "connect to: Broadband Connection" Please help me connect to Explorer and Mozilla.

Check Control Panel>Internet Options. Connection tab for any unusual setting & LAN settings. If you're connected directly to the Internet, nothing should be check in there.
