I just got a linksys wireless router. I have run thru the setup disc several times and each time it tells me my internet connection can not be found. I can get online without problems if i reconnect modem cable directly to my pc again( or i would not be posting ) I am not sure what the issue is. I have bell south fast access dsl. I am running windows 2000 . Any suggestions?

Your Bell South DLS came with a DSL modem/router correct? So you have the modem connected to your phone line, and the linksys connected to the modem/router, correct???

Well assuming this assumption this is correct and that your modem handles routing too, I know Westel DSL modem do;

First you need to go into the Linksys and turn off dhcp,
since the DSL modem should handle dhcp.
Second you need to turn off routing in the Linksys
set it to act as a switch I believe.

I forget off hand where these settings are but assuming the modem will handle routing that should do it.

If however your modem does not handle routing you should simply be able to log into the Linksys, set your connection type as PPOE and put your UN and PW in
