hm.. so mabye if i disable my adapter on this computer and try hooking it up then.. also my adapter on this computer is - Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) #2

so theres no other solutions to this problem ..going to have to bring it into a shop n have them look at it

But isn't the modem usb? your adapter shouldn't have anything to do with it.

I dont think your computer is the issue.

its a cable modem.. connected threw ethernet to my computer.. no usb weird that it works on this computer and not on the other...i figure that it would be the computer?

sorry i got modem and ethernet adapter or network card mixed up .. brain fart >.<

so it's not usb from the cable modem to computer?

either way i think the cable modem is at fault, you should call the ISP and ask, they should know their device.
